TECHNOLOGY  HOMEWORK:

GRADES 3-6:  (1) All students must have a Flash Drive in order to save work when working on documents / projects - What is a Flash Drive?  Grades 5 &  6 can use Google Docs for free for file saving and/or file sharing when collaborating on projects. (2) Memorize your 9-Digit Student ID #. (3) Practice saving a document onto your flashdrive.  Watch a screencast by Mr. Hyman to see how its done. Print out a 'how-to' style document on how to save a file to keep as a reference.

3rd & 4th Grade - Bring in your flash drives!  Black History Month Project using Microsoft Publisher.  Access a full list of famous African Americans here.

5th AND 6th Grade:  Black History Month Project using PowerPoint.  Use Fact Monster, Google, etc to research and use KeepVid.com if you'd like to use a video clip of the person that you are researching.

ALL GRADES:  Continue to practice your typing skills daily using the Keyboarding section of the Media Center site.  Complete Keyboarding Log to keep track of your improvements (they can be downloaded on the Keyboarding section).  Daily practice at home 5-10 minutes, if possible.  Additional keyboarding logs can be found in the Keyboarding section.
